Hassamu Daiichi Hunters is an elementary school rubber ball baseball team that was founded in 1976 and has served the west ward elementary school rubber ball baseball association of Sapporo for the past 40 + years.

Our players are mainly elementary school students who attend Hassamu Minami Elementary School (Nishi-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, JAPAN).

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday

All training and home games will be done at Ohzora Koen Park (located on Hassamu 4 Jo 2 Chome, Nishi-ku, Sapporo) during the season.

All winter training will be done at the gymnasium of Hassamu Minami Elementary school every Sunday.

The focus on this team is on teaching the players the fundamentals of baseball in a true elementary school rubber baseball environment. The coaches will be teaching and working with your child to learn the basic pitching fundamentals for them to achieve a level of success when they are on the pitching mound. For our young players, the focus remains on teaching the fundamentals of batting, throwing, fielding and pitching. The goal is for players to learn how to pitch in game situations and for them to continue to develop their hitting, throwing and fielding skills in a fun and safe environment. The season runs from the middle of April to the end of October. There is at least one tournament or league in all the divisions.

Super Junior: Under 10 (1st to 4th grade)

Junior: Under 11 (1st to 5th grade)

Regular: Under 12 (1st to 6th grade)

The team will provide a shirt for each player. All players will be required to wear and supply team baseball cap, white baseball pants, black baseball belt and black baseball socks.

Balls and bases are provided by the team and the organizer of the game. All players must supply their glove and cleats (non-metal). The team will have an adequate supply of approved bats of Japan Softball Baseball Association (JSBB). Players may use their own bat, but it must meet JSBB standards.

Initial Registration Fee: JPY 1,000

Annual Member Fee: JPY 4,700

Monthly Member Fee: JPY 2,500

Parent Volunteers will be needed to assist field maintenance and game announcer for the tournaments and leagues. Times will be assigned to each team once the season begins. We will email each family with the information and dates once the schedule is set.
